Association of People Living with HIV/AIDS (APL+) conducted CLM during September 2023 October2024 supported by PEPFAR/USAID through FHI360 EpiC Project. The focus of EpiC is on men who have sex with men (MSM), transgender women (TGW), and people living with HIV (PLHIV), in 3 largest cities of Vientiane, Savannakhet, and Champassak. CLM is part of the Lao national HIV strategy. APL+ conducted the 1st CLM activity in 2023, using Group Discussions only. In this 2nd round, APL+ used Group Discussions again, and added the Link Survey.

The implementation of the 2nd round of community-led monitoring was completed. These activities included group discussions that reached over 128 participants, Link survey received more than 121 survey respondents and observed greater community engagement in prevention efforts. Despite some logistical challenges, self-stigma and social discrimination the overall impact has been encouraging and marks a significant step forward in our mission to reduce HIV transmission and improve public health.
